The Rwenzori mountain ranges, also known as the "Mountains of the Moon," are a majestic mountain range located in eastern Africa, stretching across the border of Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The range is approximately 120 kilometers (75 miles) long and is home to the highest peak in Uganda, Margherita Peak, which stands at 5,109 meters (16,763 feet) above sea level. The Rwenzori mountains are known for their breathtaking scenery, diverse flora and fauna, and rich cultural heritage. They are also home to several glaciers, waterfalls, and lakes, making them a popular destination for hiking, climbing, and nature exploration.
